Ashland Parks in Budget Mode Tonight

Lithia ParkThe Ashland Parks Commission is featured as the lone live event this evening on RVTV Channel 9 beginning at 7pm. An overview of the Forestry, Trails, Natural Resources, and Construction Division is first among three items of new business the Commission will tackle tonight, along with the Parks Budget Resolution Discussion and Approval for the upcoming fiscal year. Ashland citizens also have a public forum opportunity to address items not on the agenda. The meeting streams live as well via the RVTV website Channel 9 Stream.

The overall budget process for the City of Ashland begins next month and you’ll see those session live on Channel 9, beginning May 1 at 6pm. The first three Thursday nights of May are saved for potential budget sessions as well, depending on the progress of the process. All Budget meetings will stream and televise live and will be archived on the City website throughout the budget season.

And over six hours of Jackson County Budget deliberations is playing back today on Channel 14, the proposed surcharge per household unit is unveiled ahead of huge cuts to libraries, the OSU Extension Program, 4H and FFA, and the elimination of televised meetings after 15 years providing citizens live televised, streamed, and archived access to County business. Jackson County Close Up, scheduled originally for 4pm, will begin at 4:30 due to the length of the Budget meetings.  The Ashland City Council replay from last week will take place at 5:30.
