The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is what puts Southern Oregon and Ashland out in front of other areas with Arts and Culture as a draw. Thousands of theatre lovers descend on the area each season, many of whom come to discover a thriving local theatre scene featuring musicals and stage productions. One such venue, the Camelot Theatre in Talent, was featured on Mayor John Stromberg’s Ashland Town Hall television program last night. The program is available on the City of Ashland website, click here.
With Genise as Artistic Director the Camelot has constructed it’s own new theatre space and performance venue and has a number of shows and performances each year. A rundown of featured attractions is available at the Camelot website.
Many talented musicians and actors have settled in the Rogue Valley and contribute to the high level of production displayed in our local performance halls. Take some time to check out the Mayor’s visit with Camelot and find out for yourself with by spending an evening at a local production. You’ll find our homegrown talent to be pretty good!
