God Bless America on the 237th Celebration of our Independence and your television friends at RVTV can’t think of a better way to honor the day than to provide live coverage of the 2013 Ashland Old Fashioned 4th of July Parade. Teaming with the Ashland Chamber of Commerce and Project A’s Jim Teece, RVTV staff and students under the direction of Charles Douglas will capture all the sights and sounds of this years gala. “Of the People, By the People” is the theme of this years parade, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address.
Can’t wait for the day to come? Catch a preview of what you’ll see at 2pm today on RVTV Channels 9 and GP 21 as we present an encore of the 2012 Ashland 4th of July Parade. Running just under 2 hours, it should make for a great warm up for the big day tomorrow.
The annual 4th of July run will precede the parade, while the Lions Chicken BBQ will keep you going through the street fair in Lithia Park.
