The City of Ashland went to work live on RVTV Channel 9 and streaming on the internet last night as the 2013 series of public meetings to set the upcoming budget for the City and it’s collective departments debuted. After public comments City Manager Dave Kanner gave the overall Budget message and took questions from the Committee. The Police and Parks Departments were also featured. The replay of session one is available here. The next meeting is Wednesday, May 8 at 6pm in the Council Chambers with further meetings scheduled for May 15 and 22. Keep an eye on the RVTV Channel 9 listings on our website throughout the process as there could be Thursday meetings along the way if additional time is required.
The City of Grants Pass has completed two Budget sessions as well and those are archived on the City website and in the replay cycle on Channel 21 now. The City Council also voted to add weekly Monday Study Sessions to the line up of televised meetings beginning next year, details are coming stay tuned. The Study Sessions will add valuable content to the Channel 21 programming run and will serve as an excellent public record of the Council process.
