It’s happening in most all of our Cities and Counties this month, newly elected officials are taking the oaths of office. Tuesday January 6th the City of Ashland welcomed back two Councilors, Mike Morris and Pam Marsh, as well as Stefani Seffinger, who was newly elected. City recorder Barbara Christensen and Municipal Court Judge Pam Turner also took their turns.
Jackson County and the City of Grants Pass have already sworn in the newly elected and re-elected Commissioners and Councilors, and the City of Medford will swear in three new members at the Noon Council meeting January 8.
Four year terms are the norm for Councilors and Commissioners in Southern Oregon.
