Another class of Southern Oregon University graduates will make the big walk this coming Saturday, June 15, and for the 23rd year Rogue Valley Community Television will be providing coverage. Our live cablecast begins at 8:45am Saturday morning and will be seen in Jackson County on Channel 9 and in Josephine County on Channel 21. Graduation from Raider Stadium Saturday is just one of 9 live events to be televised this week. The Grants Pass City Council went first Monday morning at 11:45 with their weekly Council Workshop on GP Channel 21, and Monday night at 7pm the Ashland School Board will convene on Channel 9. Tuesday it’s a 6pm/7pm doubleheader on Channel 9 with the Real Estate Show and the Ashland Planning Commission. Wednesday morning on Government Channel 14 the Jackson County Board of Commissioners go live at 9:30, while Wednesday night at 6pm Mayor John Stromberg of Ashland is back to Channel 9 for his monthly Ashland Town Hall program. Thursday features the Medford Planning Commission on 14 at 5:30, and at 6pm on Channel 9 it’s the end of an era….The last live “Moving Ahead with ODOT” program hosted by Gary Leaming. After upwards of 15 years of partnership ODOT is moving ahead by focusing it’s cable TV outreach efforts to shorter informational pieces. Over 150 hours of local information on projects in Jackson and Josephine Counties and safety and travel tips have been featured during the program’s run.
