REAL TV, REAL PEOPLE: Watch RVTV's Government & Public Access archives for authentic local television from Southern Oregon
In the latest episodes of Adventures In Education, Rogue Valley teacher John Letz kicks off an epic three-part series on Jackson Country’s Southern Oregon Research & Extension Center. The first segment of the trilogy spotlights the Extension Center’s support of youth & family programs, including 4-H and the Forestry and Natural Resources Program.
No longer just focused on farming and livestock, today’s 4-H has broadened its scope to promote adult mentorship of youth engaged in shooting sports, high-tech, Geographic Information Systems, rocketry, science inquiry, crafts, cooking, fashion and more. Meanwhile, the Forestry program works with families that own forestland in Jackson County to help manage the land, protect watersheds, and mitigate fire risks.
Get all the details in Adventures In Education, a locally produced public access program devoted to things that are positive for kids and their education.
