World renown scientist, author, lecturer, and environmental activist Dr. Vandana Shiva spoke to a sold out audience at the Music Recital Hall on the Southern Oregon University campus on Wednesday, October 14. Seed Sovereignty, Food Security, and Climate Resilience was the topic for her presentation. She was brought to the Valley by the SOU Center for Sustainability. Dr. Shiva founded Navdanya, a movement to protect the diversity of living resources, most notably native seeds.
She also recorded an episode of Immense Possibilities, hosted by Jeff Golden, while on campus Wednesday. That program will air at a later date on the RVTV Channels and the IP Website, and she signed copies of her books for the audience after her presentation. Like to hear what she had to say?
