REAL TV, REAL PEOPLE: Watch RVTV's Government & Public Access archives for authentic local television from Southern Oregon
The Honorable Gary Wheeler, Mayor of the City of Medford, is our headliner today on the Rogue Valley Community Television channels, emanating from the Digital Media Center on the SOU Campus. Mayor Wheeler is on the Medford Urban Renewal Board, which is televising live at noon today on Channel 14. The MURA Board is working on improvements to Alba Park as the featured agenda item.
Not long after the MURA Board meeting The Mayor will motor to the DMC to host his bi-monthly progam, Medford Mayor’s Conversation. Mayor Wheeler will be joined by members of the Medford Parks Department staff, including Director Brian Sjothun. Brian, Rich Rosenthal, and Quinnan Picton will have details on the opening of the Commons Park Block 1 next to the Lithia headquarters downtown, as well as the summer concerts and movies in the Parks series schedule and updates on recreation opportunities. The Mayor’s Conversation will be seen live at 6pm on Channel 9 and also on Channel 21 Grants Pass. Can’t catch us live tonight? The show will post Friday morning on the City of Medford website and be available for you anytime there at http://www.ci.medford.or.us/Page.asp?NavID=2761.
And it’s Thursday night, when Channel 9 is taken over by original creations from SOU Emerging Media and Digital Arts students. SOUP TV is all about Southern Oregon University Student Programming, and the first round of fall projects and video shorts will be featured tonight. Tune in next week for new material from the winter term.
Just a couple more quiet days at the DMC before students return for Spring term. Which means they’ll be hard at work creating new material for SOUP TV. Like what you see? All of our SOU content is available on our SOU PEG TV player. Student work, lectures, and campus events and specials can be found there.
