Gems of the Rogue Valley

Gems of the Rogue Valley gives positive exposure to local businesses, organizations, locations and people that make the Rogue Valley the special place that it is. The show is produced and hosted by RVTV producers David “Glamour Dave” Nienow and Cassandra Wass.  The show is a ½ hour talk show format.  The show began as a class capstone project for producers earning their studio certification and premiered in May of 2017 as Gem of the Rogue Valley which featured the Crater Rock Museum in Central Point, Oregon.

At the beginning of summer 2017 the capstone show was converted into a regular series as Gems of the Rogue Valley.  Our show has done features on the ScienceWorks Museum, the Schneider Art Museum, Rogue Retreat and the Hope Village Project to give exposure to the homeless in Jackson County, Fort Vannoy Farms in Grants Pass, Randall and Camelot Theatre’s, the Jackson County Genealogy Library and Society, and the Southern Oregon Historical Society, The Ashland Independent Film Festival, The Oregon Chocolate Festival, and the Southern Oregon Roller Derby.  The series has produced a total of 15 episodes.  The show is currently on hiatus as a regular production series until co-producer and co-host Cassandra Wass can come back to the RVTV studio.
