Busy Medford City Council sessions highlight Thursday

The Medford City Council have two full sessions of business that will televise and stream live today from the Council Chambers at City Hall. The noon meeting features a presentation by the Energy Trust of Oregon, 4 bills on the Consent Agenda, and a quarterly report from SOREDI and information from the U of O Sustainability Program. At 7pm The Council will hold four Public hearings. Two will be of broad interest, the first concerning an amendment to the Medford Code pertaining to public utility service facilities, including communications towers. And the final of the four is a resolution approving a substantial amendmend to the 2012-13 Action Plan for Housing and Community Development in the land swap with the Jackson County Housing Authority.

Jackson Co. Commissioners
The newest member of the Jackson County Board of Commissioners made his debut on the Ask The Commissioners studio show last night at the Digital Media Center at SOU. Doug Breidenthal has been in office for just over a month. The Wednesday live show focused on the liason role Commissioners play in conjunction with Advisory Board, Committees, and Commissions. The Natural Resources Advisory Committee, Public Safety Coordinating Council, and the newly formed Economic Development Advisory Committee are featured. The program repeats frequently on Channels 9, 14, and 21 GP and is available on demand 24/7 on the County website at https://www.co.jackson.or.us/Page.asp?NavID=2387.
Grants Pass City
The February 20 Grants Pass City Council meeting will make it’s playback debut Friday, February 22 at noon and again Saturday morning at 10am. Also Saturday at 2pm watch for the replay of the Community Forum on Homeless and Transients from earlier this month. Replays next week are 2/25 6pm, 2/26 8pm, 2/28 5pm, 3/1 6pm.
