City of Ashland Public Works Director Mike Faught and Water Conservation Specialist Julie Smitherman were back before the Ashland City Council Tuesday night with updated information on the severe drought conditions in the City this summer. Faught had praise for Ashland citizens for their conservation efforts to date but warned there will still some long, dry weeks ahead. The complete drought update is available on the RVTV PEG Player.
Work continues on the pipeline from Talent to Ashland that will connect Ashland as a new customer of the Medford Water Commission and will augment the City’s Reeder Reservoir supply. New water could be available by August, but conservation remains essential as resources will be strained until that new source comes online.
