REAL TV, REAL PEOPLE: Watch RVTV's Government & Public Access archives for authentic local television from Southern Oregon
A summer long debate over proposed regulations for filming and video production in the City of Ashland the City Council and City Staff have decided to reverse course and not create new layers of regulations for private, educational, or commercial media. Members of SOU Faculty and Staff, the Public Access Advisory Board from RVTV, and members of the local film and video industry provided written and oral testimony encouraging Council to not take action on the new regulations, which they feared would suppress opportunities for even small video productions to take place.
The public testimony and Council and Staff discussion are available on the RVTV Peg Player, this link will take you directly to the start of the deliberation last night.
