The beauty and quality of the Ashland Parks System is reflected in it’s signature item, Lithia Park. How the Parks Department will be funded going forward is up for discussion at tonight’s Ashland Parks Commission meeting, live at 7pm on RVTV Channel 9 and streaming live on the RVTV website here. Recommendations from the Parks Commission to the Budget Committee related to Parks Funding and the work of the Ad Hoc Committee and the repeal of the Parks Commission Ending Fund Balance Policy are two key topics on the New Business agenda entry. Further revisions to the Dogs in Parks Policy are also on tap, as well as a Senior Center presentation and a review and approval of the RVTV contract that allows these meetings to be televised and archived on the City website.
The Grants Pass City Council weekly workshop is also live today at 11:45am on GP 21, while Tuesday has a pair of live events on Channel 9. The Real Estate Show comes from the studio at 6pm, followed by the Ashland City Council at 7pm. On Wednesday how about a live triple-header? The Jackson Co. Commissioners open at 9:30am, then return for a 1:30pm Land Use Hearing. The Rogue Valley Transportation District Board of Directors will convene at the Courthouse at 5:30pm for their monthly meeting. Channel 9 also have live governement Wednesday night as the Ashland Budget Committee comes to order at 6pm on Channel 9. Three more live meetings Thursday on 14, Jackson Co. Planning at 9am, the Medford Urban Renewal Agency at 12 no0n, and the Medford Planning Commission at 5:30pm. Medford Mayor Gary Wheeler is also slated for a live appearance Thursday night as he hosts the Medford Mayor’s Conversation at 6pm on Channel 9.
