REAL TV, REAL PEOPLE: Watch RVTV's Government & Public Access archives for authentic local television from Southern Oregon
Those who rise and shine early Wednesday and make their way to the Hannon Library on the Southern Oregon University Campus will be rewarded with video treats as part of the 11th annual Independent Media Week in Ashland. RVTV PEAK Programming Student Alexander Mesadieu has put together 90 minutes of the Best of RVTV and the Best of SOU Student Documentaries for a showing in the Meese Room. The event opens at 8am and runs until 9:30.
Among the creations from SOU Students is the 2015 Ashland Independent Film Festival Launch Award winner “As Apple Pie“ by Senior Angelica Crimmins. Her film was the winner for the College and Undergraduate category. Other topics included homelessness in Ashland, Solitary Confinement in Oregon, the critical nature of water to our existence, and Hope at Redemption Ridge which focuses on creating safe havens for sex trafficking victims, and several others. Not all are from the social commentary genre, creative and entertaining offerings are part of the mix as well.
Hope you can roll out early and join us!
