Nestled at the base of the converging Cascade and Siskiyou mountain ranges, Ashland is known the world over as the host of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the locale of Southern Oregon University and the home base for Mt. Ashland Ski Park.
Along with Southern Oregon University and Ashland Community Hospital, the City of Ashland is one of the original founders of Ashland Cable Access (which later became Rogue Valley Community Television) in 1989.
RVTV continues to carry Ashland City Council, Planning Commission, Budget Committee and Parks & Recreation Commission meetings live on Southern Oregon Public Affairs Channel 9.
At our studio in the Southern Oregon Digital Media Center, RVTV also hosts Ashland Town Hall, a live monthly talk show hosted by the Mayor and featuring people who make a difference in the community.
