The City of Medford joined forces with Jackson County and Southern Oregon University in 1995 to expand government and public access cable television in the Rogue Valley. Growing from one to three channels that year, the organization decided that a name change was in order, and Ashland Cable Access became Rogue Valley Community Television.
The City of Medford televises City Council meetings at 5:30pm on the first and third Thursdays of each month, Planning Commission meetings at 5:30pm on the second and fourth Thursdays, Medford Site Plan meetings on the first and third Fridays at noon. All meetings are broadcast live on RVTV Civic and are archived on the City website.
