REAL TV, REAL PEOPLE: Watch RVTV's Government & Public Access archives for authentic local television from Southern Oregon
Southern Oregon University students these days will graduate into a world that connects and communicates far differently than we did in the latter stages of the 20th century when I finished school. Students from a variety of disciplines have landed in Dr. Erik Palmer’s Strategic Social Media class this winter, and Dr. Palmer and his students were featured in a front page article in the Monday, February 17 edition of the Medford Mail Tribune.
Palmer is an Assistant Professor of Convergent Media at SOU and is the Academic Coordinator for the Southern Oregon Digital Media Center. He has also led the effort to create the new Strategic Plan for the DMC and RVTV going forward and is working to develop underwriting and grant funding to create opportunities for SOU students to engage in professional, staff supervised media opportunities.
